Qualcomm is rumored to be introducing a new line of SoCs in the near future. Mentioned, Qualcomm will introduce the latest flagship SoC which will be referred to as Snapdragon 8 Gen1.
As is known, there will be several improvements that will be brought by this SoC. Some of them are AI performance improvements, GPU performance improvements, and ISP work improvements when compared to their predecessors.
Interestingly, in a post on Weibo, a leaker discussed the standard for flagship smartphones in 2022. He said that flagship smartphones that use Snapdragon 8 Gen1 will have some requirements.
Wccftech (23/11) reports that the first feature of a flagship smartphone that uses this SoC is that it has a battery of at least 4500mAh. In addition to the large battery capacity, charging is also one of Qualcomm's main focuses. Therefore, smartphones that use this SoC will have 65W charging.
However, as is known Snapdragon 8 Gen1 will be produced with 4nm fabrication technology. Supposedly, with a 4500mAh battery, users will be able to use the smartphone for a longer period of time.
