One thing Apple is pursuing is making its own modem. They even bought Intel's network development business line to develop their own modem and will be completed in 2023.
Ubergizmo (25/11) reported that Nikkei received information that said TSMC was preparing to build a modem manufacturing facility. As is known, Apple partnered with TSMC to make the SoC.
They said that now TSMC will start building Apple's 5G modem using 4nm fabrication technology. They also seem optimistic that this modem will be launched on the iPhone 2023.
